Ad concept examples for NZ businesses: 45 Facebook ads

These are the ideas from our ad concept ideas guide, made into finished ads. First come nine bold retail and lifestyle brands with one ad each, built from a three-colour palette. After them are 12 example businesses, two for each business type, each with three concepts and different jobs: one to introduce or stop the scroll, one to answer a doubt or show a difference, and one to make an offer.

By the Moonlighters team. Last updated 30 October 2026.

How to read each example

  • The role is the concept's job in the framework (introducer, scroll-stopper, before / after, objection handler, differentiator, social proof, offer).
  • The format is how the ad looks: a before-and-after split, a checklist, a comparison, a search bar, a plain photo and headline.
  • Feed copy and checks opens the post text, headline and button, plus what to confirm before an ad like it goes live.

Bold colour-palette brands

Nine retail, apparel and lifestyle brands, one ad each. Every ad is built from a three-colour palette and one big idea, in the style of a fashion landing page. The same brands appear as demo websites.

Pacelight Activewear Activewear label, Auckland

Midnight black #030407Electric cobalt #1558C9Acid lime #D4FF24

IntroducerPhoto and headline

Reflective gear that turns a dark run into the brightest thing on the street.

A dark, high-contrast product hero. The lime on black stops the scroll in a feed full of daylight photos, and the product is the only thing lit.

Feed copy and checks

Winter runs start in the dark. Our new range puts reflective panels where drivers actually look, so you stay seen from the first kilometre to the last. Try it on at the Grey Lynn store or shop online.

Scroll-stopperPhoto and headline

One huge word and one bright orange look: new season, no explaining needed.

Feed copy and checks

The new season has landed. Bold colour, sharp tailoring and statement outerwear, picked for Wellington winters and everything after. Come and try it on, Cuba Street.

Feed copy and checks

Cold showers again? Most of our hot water cylinder swaps are finished the same day, so you're not boiling the jug for a week. Fixed-price quote before we start, certified plumbers on every job, and we take the old one away. Free quotes across Hamilton and the Waikato.

Objection handlerCrossed out problems

The three things you won't get from us.

A crossed-out problems list, because the biggest reason people delay calling a plumber is fear of the bill. It only works if the quote really is fixed.

Feed copy and checks

No surprise call-out fees. No meter running while we look for the tap. No bill bigger than the quote. We look at the job, give you a fixed price, and that's the price. Certified plumbers and gasfitters, Hamilton and the Waikato.

Before / afterNew vs old

Still running your house on ceramic fuses?

An old-versus-new split of a switchboard, because many Bay of Plenty homeowners don't know what theirs should look like until they see the two side by side.

Feed copy and checks

If your switchboard still has ceramic fuses, it was built for a house with a radio and a kettle, not heat pumps and an EV. We upgrade switchboards at a fixed price, with a Certificate of Compliance when we're done. Registered electricians, Tauranga and the Bay.

Objection handlerText message

We text before we turn up. Every job.

A text-thread format written as the business's own arrival updates, because 'will they actually show up?' is the number one worry about booking a tradie.

Nelson Tasman locals: 20% off until 30 November.

A side-by-side of the two trips with a local-resident rate, because locals often put off doing what's on their doorstep, and a deadline gives them a reason to go now.

Making these for a real business

  • Every price, offer, date and claim must be true of your business on the day the ad runs.
  • Before-and-after and social proof ads need your real photos and your customers' real words, with permission.
  • Pick two or three concepts that fit and test them against each other. See the simple creative test.

These are starting ideas, not results. We do not claim any of them will perform for your business.
