Both people say yes before contact details are shared.
01 / A DIFFERENT KIND OF WORK NETWORK
Good people. Great work. Quietly.
FOR THE MOONLIGHTERS
You’ve got a skill. Give it a side project.
Bring the skills you’ve earned. Walk us through your recent experience, show us your work and tell us what you want to do next. Every application is reviewed personally.
A sharp brief deserves a sharp mind. Tell us the project, budget and deliverables. We make considered introductions based on experience, fit and availability.
Your name is optional. Your experience isn’t. We review work history, portfolio and references before approving Moonlighters. Choose Black mode to keep identifying details out of shared summaries, or use your name.
A personal review of professional experience — not a criminal-record check. Introductions need a yes from both sides.
02 / MAKE YOUR NEXT MOVE
Your experience. Your choice.
Apply for the first curated cohort, or tell us what you’re building. Write your application here, or open the floating chat to talk it through with Gemini. Either way, you review the details before they go for review.
Black mode. Same calibre.
Want to keep it quiet? Choose an alias and a separate Gmail. We can review your full experience privately while your name, employers and identifying history stay out of shared summaries.
All applications start private. Named mode lets you use your name in reviewed introductions; it does not publish a profile. Black mode is privacy from other members and the public, not from the Moonlighters team or the services processing your information.

03 / FAIR QUESTIONS
The lowdown.
Is this actually anonymous?+
Anonymity is optional. In Black mode, your real name, employers and identifying work history stay private to the authorised Moonlighters team, and out of shared summaries. Named mode lets you use your display name in reviewed introductions. There is no public directory. Both people approve before contact emails are shared. An alias email helps, but absolute anonymity is not guaranteed.
Can I do this alongside my day job?+
That’s the idea. Check your employment agreement, conflicts of interest and any required permissions first. Use your own time, equipment and work. Moonlighters is for legitimate side projects.
What happens after I register?+
Your application is reviewed personally. For Moonlighters, that means work history, portfolio and references, with any reference contact agreed separately. Approved applicants may be invited into the private pilot. Clients have their brief reviewed before a considered introduction. Applying does not guarantee acceptance, work or a match.
Does it cost anything?+
Applying to the network is free. Any future matching or platform fees will be explained before you commit.
Can I register on both sides?+
Absolutely. Submit once as talent and once as a client. Keep the private removal link from each registration if you want to remove either later.
